We've been having an unseasonable warm winter this year so even though it's only the end of February I definitely have spring on my mind, time to bring back the spray tan, cover up the pasty legs, shake out the summer clothes and of course get your nails springtime ready. I am definitely guilty of matching my nail colors to the season, dark in the winter, light in the summer. This is why I was thrilled to unbox some new spring colors from Essie along with a cuticle oil and top coat.

Both of the colors I received are perfect for spring and I will be sporting both, I think I'll do my toes with the purple to start. The cuticle oil is a new(er) product from Essie that I hadn't tried yet but I am definitely sold. It smells great and gives some much needed moisture to my poor nail beds that have suffered through another Alberta winter (even if it was a milder one - it was still so dry). The top coat is also a great addition, I will admit I love the Essie colors but I find they take a long time to dry and will chip easily, this is why I usually go with shellac, however with the rising cost of everything and my poor thing nails needing a break, I am looking forward to testing just how heavy duty this top coat really is.
